Nanjing Massacre survivors hold memorial rites for lost relatives

Photo taken on Dec. 6, 2015 shows the names of some victims at the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Hall in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, one of them is Ge Zhixie, uncle of Ge Daorong, 88, survivor of the atrocious Nanjing Massacre. Ge Daorong survived in the Nanjing Massacre when he was 10 years old. He witnessed that his uncle Ge Zhixie, Pan Zhaoxiang, Wang Junsheng were killed by Japanese soldiers. Some survivors of the Nanjing Massacre held family memorial rites for their lost relatives at the Memorial Hall of the Victims in the Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders on Thursday, ahead of the national memorial day for the atrocity. At least 40 survivors of the Nanjing Massacre passed away since the January of 2014, leaving about 100 still alive. (Xinhua/Li Xiang)
