Nanjing Massacre survivors hold memorial rites for lost relatives

Xiang Yuansong survived in the Nanjing Massacre when he was 9 years old. His elder brother Xiang Yuangao, and one of his uncle Xiang Zhonglin were killed by Japanese army at Xiaguan of Nanjing in the massacre. Some survivors of the Nanjing Massacre held family memorial rites for their lost relatives at the Memorial Hall of the Victims in the Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders on Thursday, ahead of the national memorial day for the atrocity. At least 40 survivors of the Nanjing Massacre passed away since the January of 2014, leaving about 100 still alive. (Xinhua/Li Xiang)
